URBAN CYCLOCROSS #3NOV 29,

Half of the MBA Wrecking Crew raced in Fontana for the number 1 Southridge plate. The other half went to California to race round 3 of the Urban Cyclocross. This race marked the end of the So Cal Cyclocross Cup Series.

How did Garnet Vertican, test rider, do? After a six-month hiatus, Garnet Vertican placed a strong 3rd in his second race. Garnet began his race by taking the uphill section. The section was almost all run by the same people, but Garnet found out the hard way that it was faster. He tired of charging through the pack after going down the steep, rooted incline for the second time. Garnet ran the section and bunnyhopped over the hillside barrier in an effort to get back in contention.

Other names on the mountain bikes at the race are Leonardo Sandoval and Jason Vorell, Jason Perkins and Bill Dean. Dan Nelson, Richard Murphy and Jim Cushing-Murray are also included.
