The Norba National Series (also known as the National Mountain Bike Series, or simply NMBS), began March 30, at Fountain Hills, AZ (McDowell Mountain). Los Olivos (CA) (Firestone); Fontana (CA (Southridge); Angel Fire (NW); Park City (UT) (Deer Valley); Banner Elk (NC (Sugar Mtn); Snowmass Village (CO). Sixteen races were held, including cross-country and short track events in six. Five Super D were included in the total.
Downhill and five 4-Cross (or Dual Slalom), events. Each discipline allowed riders to drop their lowest results leading up to the Snowmass final; Colorado was a must do race and all results were considered.
