IRVINERANCH DOCENTS NEEDEDDEC8

The Irvine Ranch area covers 4100 acres and includes Crystal Cove State Park, Irvine Open Space Preserve South and Laguna Coast Wilderness Park. The Irvine Ranch Land Reserve Trust is seeking 15-20 mountain bikers interested in leading and organizing group rides through this beautiful open space. One organized ride per month will be the first step in the program’s launch. Once the program is successful, the ride frequency will increase big-time, with an eye to more open access in future.

Docents are like a guide on steroids. You become an employee volunteer at the Irvine Ranch Land Reserve.

Let’s make this program a success.

Irvine Ranch Land Reserve Announces Meeting:

We are in the process of developing/finalizing the Mountain Bike Docent program for the Irvine Ranch Land Reserve Trust.

Mountain bike tours are currently only available to docent-led mountain bike tours. Therefore, success and quantity in mountain bike access programs will directly depend on the Mountain Bike Docent Program.

We will host a meeting in this spirit to launch the Irvine Ranch Land Reserve Trust Mountain Bike Guide Program. Then, the application process will open for those interested.

Time:9 a.m.-10 a.m.
Bommer Canyon Cattle Camp Staging Area

We will start the meeting at 9 a.m. and will explain the nature of the docent program and the opportunities/benefits of the program to the attendees.

Participants will have ample opportunity to ask questions and all information packets, applications and certification guidelines will will be available that morning.

Not a ride, but refreshments for participants.
